Happy (Belated) Valentines Day!

Valentine's Day has never been a huge holiday for me. I never really dated prior to meeting David, and in the 7 years we've known each other, we've spent Valentine's together very few times. Most of the time one of us ends up working or being out of town or once it was spent with someone else (don't worry that was while we were dating). This year was much the same. I worked Saturday night and spent most of the day sleeping. David got me a some roses and Zach got me a gift card to Aeropostale. We didn't go to dinner, but just spent the day together. I bought Jazz tickets for David, which really ended up being for both of us, but that game isn't until the very end of March. While it's not a huge holiday to me, I did want to share the few things I love about my two boys.

My husband is absolutely amazing. We've known each other for 7 1/2 years now and time has flown by. We've definitely had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't choose anyone else to take along for the ride. We've stuck together, and I'm starting to believe there isn't anything we can't make it through. He is handsome and very good to me, never hesitating to give me compliments. For 3 weeks, he spent every day at the hospital with me and helped me to maintain my sanity. It's been rough with him being out of work, but when he is working, he's dependable, detail-oriented, and hard-working. He loves his job (most days) and finds pride in his work. So far he's proved himself to be a wonderful dad. He was timid at first, but has adapted really well and loves his boy. It'll be neat to watch the two of them grow together, and eventually spend time doing "boy things".

While Zach proved to be a stinker from the very beginning, he has definitely been worth it. I love his big, beautiful smile that I never seem to have to work for. He's is a happy baby, and doesn't spend a lot of time crying. He is content to just sit and watch the world around him. He is so handsome and I'm very proud when people say he looks like me. :) He is such a sweet spirit, and I know with him in our home Heavenly Father and our Saviour are never far away. I can't wait to watch this boy grow and to see his darling personality continue to shine.
