11 months

Zach turned 11 months old this last weekend. I know I say this every month, but I still can't believe how time as flown by. This month we had a lab draw and nephrology appointment. His labs look great, looking less dehydrated, but he lost weight over the past month. His weight is down to 16 lb 6 oz and his length is about the same. With this weight and length he's dropped off the charts. His dietician wants us to add more polycose to his formula to increase the amount of calories, add butter to his baby food, and feed him the foods with higher calories. His nephrologist isn't terribly worried about him because he still looks really good. Hopefully we can gain some weight over the next month.

He has come such a long way developmentally this past month. Here's what we're loving about him:

-Imitating like crazy. Will repeat just about anything you do. Will show his frustration by clenching his fists, scrunching up his face, and making an agitated sound, not always when he's frustrated, but sometime as an imitation of mom. Still loves to imitate mom dancing.

-Has learned how to give high and low five. Is starting to clap.

-Is getting so close to crawling. He's not starting to get up on his knees but can't quite figure out how to go anywhere. Has gotten from his stomach to sitting by pushing himself up and doing the splits into a sitting position. Doesn't look like the most comfortable way, but I guess it works for him. Has just barely started to army crawl and is getting really good at it.

-Has started saying "da-da" like crazy. Has no clue what it means, but I'm sure that will come soon enough. Now I'm waiting to hear "ma-ma".

-Just recently he has started putting his ball in the middle of one of the rings he plays with. After we saw him do that several times, we started showing him how to fit the shapes in through the holes in his truck. He can get it in the right hole after we show him, but can't quite coordinate it so it goes all the way through.

-About a week ago he cut two more teeth. We're now at a total of 6, with 4 on top and 2 on bottom. They have really got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen, except for when he's using them to bite me.

Uh oh! Mom's got him addicted already!

Cheesy!!

Getting into trouble!

Next month I'm hoping to take some family/one year old pictures and we'll have a HUGE birthday party. I want to get him a one year old cake and I'm hoping he can enjoy some of it without gagging and spitting up. It'll be so much fun celebrating his birthday.
